Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to work in our engineering department.

The work is varied and the candidate will be expected to be involved in many aspects of the company’s technical work, including mechanical and structural design and offshore installation.

Site visits to the manufacturing sites and clients facilities are necessary as well as visits offshore.

The candidate shall be qualified to BSc level in a relevant engineering subject and have the following experience:

  • Experience in mechanical and/or structural design
  • Experience in producing technical specifications
  • Knowledge of 3D solid modelling software (Inventor/Solid Works)
  • Understanding of ABS & DNV offshore rules
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems

Further, experience in the following would be useful:

  • Offshore engineering
  • Corrosion
  • Control systems

The candidate should have at least 5 years experience after leaving university.

The position is a permanent one, based in Monaco.

Instrument Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Instrument Engineer with at least 5 years of experience preferably in the offshore or maritime environments.

This role involves both engineering design and fieldwork, including offshore commissioning, troubleshooting, and project support.

The ideal candidate will combine strong practical expertise with solid technical oversight, particularly in 24 V DC systems, hazardous area equipment, and marine-grade installations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, review, and update 24 V DC electrical systems and technical drawings (e.g., schematics, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, termination drawings, …)
  • Prepare or review technical specifications, cable schedules, and equipment datasheets
  • Supervise or execute the installation, termination, and commissioning of electrical systems and cabinets
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot electrical faults during commissioning or routine maintenance, particularly in hazardous areas (ATEX / Ex i) environments
  • Ensure compliance with marine electrical standards, especially in corrosive and offshore conditions
  • Provide technical input for circuit protection design (fuses, MCBs, etc.)
  • Collaborate with hydraulic engineers to understand the interface between electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Support the integration and communication of systems via Ethernet and RS485
  • Conduct or support offshore operations during installation, maintenance, or emergency interventions
Required Qualifications & Skills:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
    • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in offshore or maritime electrical engineering
    • Proven experience with:
      • 24 V DC systems
      • Marine and hazardous-area-rated wiring
      • Cabinet assembly and cable routing/termination
      • Interpreting and producing electrical drawings
    • Strong understanding of:
      • Circuit protection
      • Communication protocols: Ethernet, RS485
  • Familiar with offshore safety standards and certifications (BOSIET, HUET, etc. – preferred)
Desirable / Advantageous Skills:
  • Experience with PLC operation and HMI interfaces
  • Basic knowledge of solar panels, MPPT controllers, and battery banks
  • Familiarity with UHF and 4G radio modem systems
  • Understanding of fiber optic cable installation and diagnostics
  • Competence in electrical design tools such as AutoCAD or similar
Additional Information:
  • Must be willing and able to travel offshore as required (short-term deployments)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Fluency in English is required; other languages are a plus
